Retail
Strip / Shopping Center
Strip centers are compact retail properties that may feature anchor tenants or operate independently. Anchor tenants, such as Wal-Mart, Publix, or Home Depot, are larger retailers that often attract customers to the property.
In strip centers, you’ll typically find a blend of small retail outlets like Chinese restaurants, dry cleaners, nail salons, and more.
Community Retail Center
Typically spanning between 150,000 to 350,000 square feet, community retail centers feature multiple anchor tenants, such as grocery stores and drug stores. Additionally, it’s common to find one or more restaurants within these centers.
Power Center
A power center typically hosts numerous smaller inline retail stores but stands out due to the inclusion of several major box retailers like Wal-Mart, Lowes, Staples, Best Buy, and others. Each big-box retailer typically occupies between 30,000 to 200,000 square feet, and these retail centers often feature several out parcels.
Regional Mall
Malls typically span between 400,000 to 2,000,000 square feet and typically feature several anchor tenants, including department stores or big box retailers like Barnes & Noble or Best Buy.
Out Parcel
Found within most larger retail centers, out parcels are designated plots of land reserved for individual tenants, such as fast-food restaurants or banks.
